The Chronicles of Pride

Coming Soon...

A historical book detailing the 50-plus years of existence of Saint James Catholic High School for Boys in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Written by Anthony Iacone, Class of 1963, the book will detail the history of our school from its beginning to the present day.

It's a 240 page look at the school from Father Timmins' dream to a bold proposal by Father Mulhearn that turned St. Robert's School into St. James.
Learn about the early years; follow its growth through the 1950's and read about the many stars that made the school so great.  Journey through decades and
re-visit the fantastic teams and prominent people that made St. James a special place.

The book has tons of pictures and 1,000 random bits of trivia as well as fun-filled items plus a one act play about the Last Bulldog Standing.
Read about the One That Got Away.  Cry along with the author as you read the Forward so handsomely done by Robert McLaughlin, Past President of the Alumni.  Piece together the pitfalls and the events that led to the school's demise and more importantly see how it rose from the dead to become a strong alumni association and begin another 53 year tour.  This book is about you and your classmates.  It is your story.

We are taking orders now to see how many need to be printed.  The cost is $25 with a major portion of the profits going toward the scholarship fund.
Contact The DOGHOUSE or call Tony directly at 610-497-4350 for ordering details.  Plans are to have the book available by Fall, 2010.

Do not miss out on this opportunity to learn and remember everything about your past, your life, and your school.
